Holidays At Home

NORMAN NORTH

THE Hawkesbury-Nepean river system flows through much of north and north-west Sydney with hardly anybody at one end knowing somebody at the other end.

More surprising, people at both ends tend to be ignorant of the number and variety of holiday and entertainment attractions to be found along its length

Talking Travel will try to rectify that omission this week, in the first of a two-part series on holiday outings for those who have not booked to go away over the Christmas break or who seek a short break later in the year.

Many ideas for this series came from Greater Sydney regional tourism managers, as members of a committee set up to give Sydney tourism more impact in the Sydney market.

Talking Travel is grateful for the co-operation of these managers, whose office numbers are included for more information on accommodation, activities and entertainments.
